Joe Worrel is an acoustic guitarist and a singer songwriter from the Chicago IL area. Joe performs solo and as a duo or trio and with a full band. Joe's music is best described as pleasing to all music lovers. A taste of rock, country, blues and even a traditional Irish tune every now and then.
Joe Worrel, guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and bass guitarist, started playing guitar at age 7. By the time he was 15 he was performing over 250 dates a year at state fairs, legion halls, VFW's and dim lit barrooms. Joe played bass for CMA award-winner Martina McBride and many others. He opened for countless top recording acts while he was the featured vocalist with the Southern Exposure Band for over eight years on their Miller beer sponsored tours across the USA. You might have also seen him picking bluegrass at Festivals, Barn Jams and Hootenannies in the North Georgia Mountains over the last few years. Joe lives in the Chicago area and performs acoustic rock solo and duo gigs and around Chicagoland, playing all your favorite acoustic standards. Joe is recording a new CD of American songs about the trials and tribulations of everyday life. He performs his music around the Midwest telling lies and bringing truth to the many myths about the evils of music and the damage it can do. Be warned, listening to Joe can make you drink too much whiskey, sell your worldly possessions for vintage musical instruments and give you feelings of heartache, happiness, and the overwhelming urge to hoop and holler.
