But signing up for a Featured Artist Membership is an ever bigger step you can take in helping your name be known. When people long onto Chicagodigitalmusic.com the first thing they see is a featured artist. With a Featured Artist membership when people type your band name into Google, we will make sure that the first site that appears in the search is your Chicago Digital Music page. When we send out our newsletter to various venues, labels, and stores telling them about the great artists we have on our site, we take into heavy consideration who on the site is a Featured Artists. Overall, when you sign up for a Featured Artist membership you are getting a more in depth page, with more songs, more pictures, and thus more of an opportunity for people to know who you are. Featured Artist pages are $10.00/month plus a $10 set-up fee. | How Do I Pay? You simply fill out the order form above. You can pay using a credit card or your PayPal account. What are the top 2 things that being a Featured Artist will do for me? - As a featured artist you have the ability to sell merch and physical C.Ds as opposed to just being able to sell downloadable C.Ds - Increased exposure. As a Featured Artist you are automatically added to the featured artist page which is linked directly from the CDM home page. Also, a monthly review made by the Chicago Digital Music Staff determines the “Top 4 Featured Artists of the Month”. If you are the top featured artist of that month your picture and bio will appear on the CDM home page. If you are in the top 4 but not the top artist your picture and link to your page will appear on the top of the artist and bands page. Finally, as a featured artist your CDM page will come up first in a Google search of your band. What if I really want some of the options that come with being a Featured Artist, but could care less about some of the other ones? Is there any way I can only pay a fraction of the price in order to only get the features I like? - Chicago Digital Music thinks that every aspect of being a Featured Artist is important, and thus being a Featured Artist is sold only a package deal. |
| Downtime and Server Speed: The parties agree and acknowledge that internet servers and links are susceptible to crashes and downtime. CDM agrees that it will maintain a dedicated and consistent link with the Internet, but CDM cannot and does not guarantee that it will maintain a continuous and uninterrupted link. CDM does not warrant any response rate or download time. Storage: CDM shall host Customer’s Web Site on both it’s own server and on a leased space from a reputable hosting service (Yahoo). In the event of extended service outage due to a server crash, CDM will use reasonable efforts to restore service. CDM reserves the right to move the Customer’s website to another server or hosting service in order to maintain, improve or enhance service. Maintenance: CDM may, at its sole discretion, temporarily suspend any or all service for the purpose of repair, maintenance, or improvement of any of CDM’s systems or the website itself. However, CDM will restore services as soon as is reasonably practicable. Customer will not be entitled to any setoff, discount, refund or other credit, in case of any service outage which is beyond CDM’s control, or which is deemed necessary for maintenance, or which is reasonable in duration. Security: The parties agree and acknowledge that it is impossible to maintain complete security, but CDM will take reasonable steps to prevent security breaches in CDM’s servers. Pricing: The current CDM Pricing Sheet is attached and made a part hereof; and Customer agrees to pay as provided therein. Prices are subject to change without notice, and price changes will be posted at http://www.chicagodigital.com/music/notices/prices.htm. Page Content: Customer agrees to comply fully with the CDM policies, including said policies as may be amended. Artists are required to provide CDM with a notice if their music requires a page disclaimer. Failure to do so may result in immediate termination of said page. Material protected by copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right may not be used without proper authorization. Expressions of obscenity, defamation, bigotry, prejudice, racism and hatred are not acceptable. Pornography and sex-related merchandising are prohibited. Links to websites that may infer sexual content, or link to adult content elsewhere are prohibited. Statements promoting illegal activities, or harm to any individual or group of individuals is not acceptable. Posting scandalous or private information about a person without their consent or intentionally inflicting emotional distress is unacceptable. Artists and show pages will not be customized with banner ads, or links to affiliate programs and other websites not operated by the artist. CDM may change, suspend or terminate the Web Site, if CDM, in its sole discretion, determines that the Web Site or its links do not comply with the aforesaid CDM policies. Email: Our servers may not be the source, intermediary, or destination address involved in the transmission of spam, flames, or mail bombs. We consider spam any mass unsolicited message in the mediums of Newsgroups and Email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service to known spammers. Lastly, we reserve the right to determine what violates this policy. Any violation will result in immediate deactivation of services without refund. Server Any attempts to cause harm to our server is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service at our sole discretion. Changes in Agreement: CDM may modify this Agreement, including, without limitation, changes in the page content policies, fees and prices charged [except that fees and prices charged shall not be subject to change until the end of the then current term], or change the services offered.
