Alternative industrial metal with an aggressive edge, but with intelligence replacing the normal lowest common denominator level angst in this type of music.
FailedLife is an expression of my beliefs, set to industrial metal/alternative music with a very aggresive presentation. My influences range from bands such as Megadeth and Metallica to Depeche Mode and other electronic bands, and my hope is to have successfully incorporated sounds from this wide a range of influences into a cohesive whole that is cohesive and fresh, and hopefully interesting to listen to. The band, when fully assembled, will attempt to present the music in a visual as well as musical way, providing for the audience a complete experience. My personal experience includes more performances at bars and small clubs than I can easily describe or recall, and the only constant in them has been a level of energy that is extreme - I enjoy providing a very intense experience for an audience, and am willing to sacrifice energy in order to do so. In the bands that I have played these shows with, all of the members shared this idea, but all of these bands fell apart due to various family obligations and the lack of willingness in the other members to pursue success in music to the same degree that I am - there is a price to pay for success at any level, and this price is one that I would welcome the opportunity to pay.
If asked to describe the band in detail, I would say that this band is a group of people that are obsessed with making music and entertaining those people who are willing to come out and see a performance. For me, making music is not an option, it is something that I feel compelled to do. That is why this is a solo act right at the moment - I am looking for people that share my need to write and perform, and is also what will set this band apart from the rest of the bands that do what could be described as the same general kind of music
