We are a true school collective of 3 mc s and a producer-dj. Our sound has been compared to Tribe called quest, De la soul and mostly Jurassic 5. You'll find our Cd is large mix of Funk, jazz and tradtional soul. In the tradtion of hiphop purist our stage show is very important to us.
Rough and Smooth, conscience and fun,HipHop Soul. These are just some of the words used to describe the rhyme collective knowm as Endangered Species. Dipped in old school Hip Hop with new school Soul the ES team has brought a stage show that few in the Hip Hop world rival. The bouncy rhythms of Dj Ricochet and the back and forth rhymes of Elevation, Nocturne and B-Vax keep the viewing audinence on a musical roller coaster with smoothed out gems such as "Soul Brothas" or rebel rousing tunes like "Last stand @the Alamo."
Together since the mid-nineties Endangered has made it their main objective to stay true to themselves. The concept of "new means good" does not apply with them. There is a strong respect for all artist but the notion of spewing untold tales of negative behavior wont be found on this disc. Hip Hop to Endangered is best served in it's rawest form. Pure party joints, thoughtful insightful songs and a feel good vibe. The culture of Hip Hop has been good to ES and they want share the experinece witht he world. Entertaining crowds from 8-80 have brought Endangered closer to connecting to fellow artist.
