Against the Grain is a Christian rock band made up of four members, all with a heart to serve God. We have been together as a band/ministry since 2003. The name 'Against the Grain' was chosen because it means to be different from the world, to not conform to the ways of this world (see Rom 12:2). Our goal is to witness the love of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, with music/lyrics and our testimonies. We believe that Jesus Christ was God's own son, His word made flesh, and went to the cross and died for our sins. We believe that He rose again on the third day and ascended into to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us. We also believe that God's Holy Spirit is our teacher and comforter. We play mostly original songs. These songs have a unique heavy edge, with encouraging, straightforward and uplifting lyrics. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
