Hailing from the filthy streets of the Chicago suburbs, Act Of Destruction came to exist in mid-2005 as two souls hell-bent on creating a purely insane blend of metal influenced by giants such as Judas Priest, Black Label Society, King Diamond, and Iron Maiden to name a few. At the beginning, the two founding members, John and Jim, recorded a few demo tracks which weren't as good as they had wanted them to be. In the winter of 2005 and early spring of 2006, the duo went and recorded 15 tracks on an album called Under Destruction. The two realized that they would probably not get very far with just the two of them and a limiting drum machine with only a handfull of patterns. They played a couple of parties and put on an impressive stage show complete with props and John playing whilst his axe was set ablaze and later destroyed after the show. However, niether of them knew anybody willing to join them on their quest. They started the tiresome process of recruiting. Five guitarists were declined before accepting Brett as the new addition to the force. Three drummers were also declined, two of them being very unreliable and the other one just not fast enough for the speed Act Of Destruction requires. So the search is still on for a real drummer(one may accepted by July if we can get a hold of him) and possibly a singer as well, even though a singer is not absolutely necessary. After a drummer is found, Act Of Destruction looks to start playing any show they can get.
